Admit it…textures are hot right now!!!! They are artsy, and edgy, and just flat out awesome! One of the hottest photo studios here in the DFW area use (Sallee Photography) textures all the time….and they are awesome! Do the textured images sell? YOU BET THEY DO!!! If you show your clients the textured images (printed) they sell, trust me!
So how do you use textures?? Easy as pie!
1st open an image….we will use this one of one of my Class of 2009 Reps, Lauren.
Next open up 2-3 textures you want to use. I used 2 from the Dustin collection. Drag the 1st one to the top of your image and resize. You need to change your blending mode, I usually use overlay or soft light and change the opacity to 25%-50%.
Repeat the step above, until your image is to your liking!
If you have a mark or design across a face, use the smudge tool to smooth it out.
See I told you it was easy!!! Textures can be subtle and had a bit of depth to your image.
