I wanted something a bit different for my daughter’s senior announcements, and Andie’s pack was just what I needed! We’re going to print these as 5×5′s, and I think they’ll be so cute!

The recipe

Ingredients from Limited Edition: September 2010:
Frame 5×5 Stef
Sugarplum 8 background

Instructions:
I inserted the photo, added the text and a stroke border to the image to create the frame.
I used a grunge brush at a low opacity to highlight the “class of”, and I did a little color overlay to adjust the color of the background just ever so slightly.

I just love the Fake HDR  action so much, and I think it’s so versatile, I thought I’d share it again. In this image, I used the Fake HDR and the Edge action – upping the opacity for more drama.

For this next sample, I used this  awesome 5×30 storyboard template to showcase a series of newborn photos. For visual interest, I also added one of the Rhonna Backgrounds that can be found here.

I took these photos at a friend’s 100+ year old farmhouse and wanted to create something special for her. I really like the funkiness of the storyboard bringing focus to some of the small details in and around the house. I used the 16×20 #12 Storyboard found here , along with the Fake HDR action found here (which is Specially Priced at only $3!) and the Sloppy Frames found here. I just selected the color for the background from the images in the collage, and changed the color of the frame to match, lowering the opacity just a tad to soften it up and make it look a bit more aged.

The photographer who inspires me to shoot portraits is Skye Hardwick (Work of Heart Photography). She captures the most beautiful color and skin tones! I have stalked her for a very long time on ILP and flickr…. okay on facebook too! (don’t tell her I don’t want a restraining order against me!! lol) She has a quality that I admire in photographers … the willingness to share her knowledge.
